Jessica Simpson wants scotch after giving birth: report

Jessica Simpson does not want balloons, flowers or chocolates to celebrate the birth of her baby. Reports say the singer has asked her family to bring scotch, and an expensive one at that.

In Touch reports that Simpson has requested a bottle of Macallan 30, a single-malt scotch aged for 30 years — almost as long as the 31-year-old singer has been alive. The pricey booze can cost upwards of $900 a bottle.

“That’s Jessica’s champagne,” a source told the magazine. “She stopped drinking as soon as she found out she was pregnant, but couldn’t wait to have a glass of scotch on the rocks.”

While she has not confirmed this report, Simpson did tell Elle magazine that giving up scotch was not easy.

“I’m a free-spirited girl, but giving up my scotch? My Macallan 18? That was hard for me!” the designer said. “Though now that doesn’t even sound good, being pregnant. You crave other things. A big thing of water sounds great!”

Simpson’s due date was reportedly April 20, so she is having to wait extra long for that glass of Macallan.
