Maria Menounos gets first perfect score on ‘DWTS’

Maria Menounos has discovered the secret for getting a perfect score on “Dancing with the Stars” — go for a vampire-themed routine.

Menounos and her partner Derek Hough earned season 14’s first score of 30 last night, sporting vampire fangs for a classical paso doble to Prokofiev’s “Montagues and Capulets.”

While Hough wore a traditional black ensemble for the dance, Menounos stunned in a red sequined gown with a dramatic collar and cut-out back. While Menounos and Hough hit a snag last week, getting criticism after kissing during their performance, the judges seemed far more thrilled last night when Menounos pretended to bite Hough’s neck, wiping faux blood from her face as her partner dropped to the ground.

“That was amazing. You were so on fire!” raved judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “Katherine [Jenkins] has been on the lead for the girls, but she better watch her back, ’cause you’re coming at her.”

Judge Bruno Tonioli called Menounos the “Queen of the Night, adding, “Bite me! Turn me! Right now. The structure of the dance, the way you build the drama and the storytelling, was absolutely spellbinding.”
