Even Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi believes that Patricia Krentcil, the mom accused of bringing her 5-year-old daughter to a tanning salon, is “crazy.”

Snooki tells “Extra” host Mario Lopez that she was was mortified when she heard about Krentcil’s case, despite her fondness for tanning herself.

“That [bleep] is crazy,” Snooki says. “You are not supposed to take kids there. Everyone knows you are not supposed to take kids there.”

Krentcil appeared in court in Newark, New Jersey, yesterday on charges of child endangerment for taking her daughter into a stand-up tanning booth, despite the legal age limit for tanning being 14-years-old. Kindergartner Anna Krentcil reportedly got first degree burns in the booth. When her teachers noticed, the girl confessed that her mom had taken her tanning.

Krentcil has denied the charges but, until the case is resolved, the young girl is in the custody of her father.

Even though Snooki is highly pro-tanning, the reality TV star has said that she would not let her child fake and bake. At the MTV Upfronts last week, Us Weekly asked Snooki what she would do if her child turned out pale.

“My baby’s gonna be naturally tan,” Snooki said. “If you look at me and [my fiance] Jionni [LaValle], we’re very dark, so luckily the baby will be very dark.”

When Jenni “JWoww” Farley suggested that Snooki spray tan her child “just like ‘Toddlers & Tiaras,'” Snooki swung into protective mom mode.

“I won’t be spray tanning my baby,” she snapped.
