Angelina Jolie will only give ‘Today’ interviews with Ann Curry: report

Brangelina is on Team Ann.

Angelina Jolie reached out to the fired “Today” show anchor and told her if NBC wanted an interview with her or fiancée Brad Pitt, Curry “would be the only one to do it” and not by any of the veteran journalist’s former cohorts, according to RadarOnline.

The busy mom of six reportedly doesn’t like how Curry, her friend, has been treated by NBC.

“Angelina has tremendous respect for Ann because of the work she has done on bringing awareness to Darfur. Ann has developed a professional relationship with Angelina and Brad, and they trust her implicitly because of her integrity,” a source told the site.

The Oscar-winning actress “made it clear” that no one from the current “Today” show cast would get to interview her or Pitt. The source added that with rumors of the A-listers’ upcoming wedding, The Peacock would lose any future interviews with the actors if they aren’t conducted by Curry.

As the “Today” show’s ratings continue to decline in the wake of Curry’s sacking, the morning news program has been suffering many bouts of negative press. The New York Post recently reported that “Today” show weatherman Al Rocker misses his fired colleague.

Last week, Roker, Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Tamron Hall were doing a segment with members of the US Women’s rowing team.

Wrapping up, Lauer asked the team’s coxswain about the tradition of throwing her into the water after winning a race.

“Which is different than our tradition, which is you throw one of us under the bus, but that’s another story,” Roker said.
