Katie Holmes got virtually nothing in Tom Cruise divorce

Tom Cruise gets to protect his fortune.

Katie Holmes walked away from her high-profile divorce to the megastar with virtually nothing, according to TMZ.

Cruise is providing his ex-wife with only a “modest” sum to take care of their daughter Suri, TMZ reports.

Sources tell the site that Cruise must pay Holmes $400,000 a year in child support for the next 12 years, or until Suri turns 18. The total payout works out to $4.8 million, according to TMZ, which is less than what Cruise makes in a single film.

Holmes’ ex will reportedly also foot the bill for any medical, dental, insurance, education, college and extracurricular costs.

The “Dawson’s Creek” actress allegedly could have received more in child support if the case went to trial, but she and Cruise decided to settle quickly.

The duo formerly known as TomKat also agreed that Suri will not attend a “residential school” from now through her high school years, according to TMZ. Read: She can’t be sent to any boarding school, Scientology or otherwise.

Page Six exclusively reported yesterday that Holmes’ fashion line Holmes & Yang will be shown at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week.
