Linda Fargo compared to Anna Wintour in Bergdorf documentary

Linda Fargo is being compared to both the real and fictitious personas of Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. Fargo, the silver-haired senior VP/women’s fashion director of Bergdorf Goodman, is one of the shining stars of the documentary “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s,” which unveils the inner workings of the luxury department store, leading up to its 111th anniversary this year. Fargo is described as a “kindler, gentler” Wintour by stylist Robert Verdi, and Fargo admits both in the film and to us that she’s been mistaken for Wintour a few times: “I think it’s because people confuse me [with] the Meryl Streep version,” referring to a gray-haired Streep’s role in “The Devil Wears Prada.” Fargo added: “I’m completely complimented by that comparison.” Fashionable guests at the movie screening at the Paris Theatre and after-party at Bergdorf’s included Jason Wu, Erin Fetherston,
Naeem Khan, Ranjana Khan, Alexandra Lebenthal, Nanette Lepore and Jim Gold.
