Jeff Bridges’ hunger for knowledge

“This movie’s like a good meal,” Jeff Bridges told us of his new doc on hunger in America, “A Place at the Table,” Wednesday night. The Cinema Society premiere certainly gave the crowd, including Jon Stewart, Matt Dillon, Gina Gershon, Lou Reed and Steve Buscemi, food for thought. “When you get used to crummy food as a kid, that’s what you’re going to continue to eat as you become older, and with films . . . it’s the same thing,” the Dude summed up. Guests certainly didn’t go hungry at the Bank of America-sponsored event at Tom Colicchio’s Riverpark, which provided what a guest dubbed “a sick spread!”
