Pippa dropped by agent following poor book sales

This isn’t exactly something to “Celebrate.”

Pippa Middleton has reportedly parted ways with her literary agent following less-than-stellar sales of her party planning book.

Her now-former agent David Godwin told the Telegraph, “I am very sorry it has happened, but yes, it is true: I no longer represent Pippa and I wish her every good luck.”

British papers are reporting that she was dropped due to dismal sales but The Royalist says she parted ways because she isn’t planning to write another book.

Middleton’s much-hyped foray into publishing was widely ridiculed for its simple advice after it hit shelves. She suggested, for example, “Because of their size, turkeys are perfect for feeding larger gatherings” and drawers should be “packed full of useful odds and ends.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister was reportedly paid £400,000 (about $600K) in advance for “Celebrate”. Sales, however, failed to live up to expectations. Only 2,000 copies were sold in the first week.
