Lindsey Vonn mocked her current boyfriend Tiger Woods’ cheating scandal in a three-year-old article where she joked about his many sexual conquests.
A Time magazine article from Feb. 2010 describes how the golf pro’s infamous staged apology for his multiple indiscretions was met with hugs from several of his friends.
“They’re like, ‘Yeah, you’re awesome, you go have that sex,” Vonn jokes in the article. Her crack was met with laughter by her entourage.
The striking blond even described a “Saturday Night Live” skit she would do about Woods if she was ever asked to host.
In a faked solemn voice, she said: “There’s something you don’t know about me. Tiger, you’re like my idol, and I too have a sex problem.”
Interestingly, when she was asked three years ago how she would handle the media’s obsession with sports celebrity in a post-Woods world, Vonn was quoted saying, “Well, I’m married so I don’t have that problem.” She was then married to her ski coach Thomas Vonn.
She continues, “But, um, I guess [Woods] is married too. I mean, I guess if you have secrets, you have an issue. I’ve kind of been open about everything.”
Fresh off her success at the winter Olympics and comparative anonymity, Vonn also did not predict that her life would be so different now that she’s in a high-profile relationship with Woods.
“I don’t know, I think I blend in pretty well. If I put on a baseball cap, no one would really recognize me.”
