More ‘Orphans’ drama, audience member collapses

There’s been even more drama at Alec Baldwin’s Broadway show “Orphans.” A preview was interrupted Friday night when an audience member suddenly collapsed. During an intense scene in which Baldwin’s character is tied up after being kidnapped, an announcer broke in at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre to say there was “an emergency in the mezzanine.” Baldwin “looked like he thought he was being punked,” a spy said, but the curtain went down for 20 minutes as the patron was helped. The audience gathered by the stage to see what the commotion was (and to ogle Sally Field seated in the orchestra). Luckily the stricken fan was OK, the show went on, and it “was really good!” our spy exclaimed.
