LOS ANGELES — Rocker Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson have re-entered the dating scene while their divorce is still pending, People reported Tuesday.
The former Fall Out Boy bassist was spotted on a coffee date over the weekend with “Gossip Girl” actress Michelle Trachtenberg, whom he dated back in 2006.
Simpson, 26, was also on the rebound, getting affectionate with “Boardwalk Empire” star Vincent Piazza during a jaunt to New York in June.
Wentz, 32, and the “Pieces of Me” singer, who have a two-year-old son together, filed for divorce in February after two years of marriage.
“We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx,” they said in a statement announcing the split.
Despite attempts at amicability, the two are reportedly still hammering out a custody arrangement for their tot. Simpson sought primary physical custody in her divorce filing but Wentz is seeking joint physical custody.
The younger sister of singer-turned-fashion designer Jessica Simpson also requested Wentz pay her legal bills, while he insisted each party could cover their own legal counsel.
