Taylor Lautner gave Robert Pattinson body issues

Robert Pattinson admits that sharing a screen with ultra-buff Taylor Lautner in the “Twilight” saga has done a number on his self esteem — and he worked out for six months to prepare for his sex scene with Kristen Stewart.

When asked by Mexican magazine 15a20 about shooting the sex scenes in “Breaking Dawn: Part 1,” Pattinson said, “You also have to worry about how you’re going to look. I had never been so worried about that before, but after seeing how much Taylor [Lautner] works out for the movies, I thought, ‘Well, everybody is really going to judge me now.’ I always tried to think about positions where I could tense the muscles, and suck in my belly.”

His insecurities even led him to try to bulk up his physique for “Breaking Dawn: Part 2.” Pattinson reveals that he trained extensively for the final movie in the series. “The body of the characters seem to be a big deal. So in this movie, I thought, ‘OK, it’s the last one, I’m getting a six pack,’ and I tried, but it’s very hard,” he said. “I worked out so hard for six months, so after filming the sex scene, the first thing I thought was, ‘Time to eat!'”

Lautner reportedly put on more than 26 pounds of muscle in between filming “Twilight” and “New Moon” by spending two-and-a-half hours a day in the gym, seven days a week. But Lautner has revealed that he’s no longer enamored with his bulging biceps.

“It has become embarrassing,” Lautner said last year. “The only reason I did it is because the character required it and I love the character. So, in a year from now, if I fall in love with a character that requires me to lose weight, I’m ready to do it.”

That would probably make Pattinson feel better looking in the mirror.
