Chelsea Clinton is close to signing another deal with NBC, despite criticism of her reporting.

Clinton is nearing the end of a 90-day contract as an NBC News special correspondent, where she contributes to the “Making a Difference” segments that air during “Rock Center With Brian Williams.”

While her reports have been tepidly received by critics, sparking strong rumors and reports she would not sign again, sources tell us NBC plans to keep her involved with the network.

It is believed that the deal will keep Chelsea providing similar reports for “Rock Center.” A representative for Clinton didn’t get back to us, and NBC declined to comment.

On Thursday night, Clinton partied like a rock star at the DeLeón Tequila-presented Guns N’ Roses concert at Hiro Ballroom. She strode through the packed house with husband Marc Mezvinsky and sat at an upstairs table with Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, along with a solo Justin Timberlake.

Luckily, the celebs were seated upstairs from the dance floor, where a fight broke out between two audience members and ended in a pool of blood on the floor.

After the band took the stage, one patron threw a glass. Axl Rose stopped singing and yelled to the offender, “You little [bleep], you want to throw a glass?” Security threw out the tosser, and the band continued their two-hour set until about 3 a.m.

Others taking in the show included a pregnant Sienna Miller and boyfriend Tom Sturridge, Jimmy Fallon, Jared Leto, Kellan Lutz, Byrdie Bell, Cory Kennedy, Michelle Harper and Alexandra Richards.

Olivia Wilde and J
ason Sudeikis also joined the crowd. Wilde marveled when a staffer stamped her hand for entry to the after-party at the Electric Room next door, “Is this for something kinky?” Wilde never made it to Electric Room, but Amy Sacco and the band partied there until late.
