Adele flips off cameras, shows off possible engagement ring

Adele’s hands did some serious talking last night at the Brit Awards 2012. The songstress not only flipped off cameras during an acceptance speech, but got tongues wagging when she showed off a new sparkler on her left ring finger.

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins accepted two trophies at last night’s award show — Best Female Solo Artist and Album of the Year for “21.” But when she was cut off by the show’s host for time while accepting her second award, the singer became agitated. She pulled a move similar to M.IA.’s at the Super Bowl, raising her middle finger to the cameras.

The singer quickly issued an apology for the obscene gesture.

“I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans,” Adele later clarified to the BBC. “I’m sorry if I offended anyone, but the suits offended me.”

But while she apologized, the heartbreak singer did not respond to reports that she might be engaged to boyfriend Simon Konecki. Before the awards show, the star posed with her left hand prominently displayed on her hip, revealing a large, blingy ring. While the ring could simply be a fashion statement, it could be a sign of her commitment to Konecki.

Adele recently gushed to Vogue magazine about her new beau.

“He’s wonderful,” Adele said. “He’s proud of me, but he don’t care about what I do or what other people think. He looks after me. I don’t think I would have gotten through the recovery for my [throat] surgery if it hadn’t been for him.”

Adele and Konecki were first spotted together in early January on vacation, taking an airboat tour of Florida’s Everglades National Park. When reports surfaced soon after that Konecki was married, Adele took to her blog to stamp out rumors.

“This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon,” she wrote. “Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years. Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts.”

Backstage at the Grammy Awards, where the sing took home six awards, Adele furthered that “she has never been happier.”
