Since arriving in Los Angeles last summer and snapping up Candy Spelling’s 56,500-square-foot mansion for $85 million, Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone, 23, has been spending time with Mel Gibson, Brandon Davis and Nicky and Paris Hilton. A new W magazine profile explores Ecclestone and new husband James Stunt’s refurbished, over-the-top manse, which houses “a motor court that is said to have space for 100 cars,” her 25 Hermes Birkin bags and a 7,000-square-foot master suite. She has a two-level closet designed to “resemble a boutique,” and the basement houses a bar, a bowling alley, a pool room and a 20-seat cinema. The piece also describes a clueless cooking lesson Ecclestone attempts with her personal chef, during which he has to explain what chicken wings are and how to slice a mushroom. W also says Ecclestone has a “Range Rover with a thick black stripe down the hood and ‘Petra’ written on the grille,” as well as a matching one for Stunt, plus a white Ferrari, a white Rolls-Royce Ghost, black Lamborghini and black Rolls, though she “hasn’t mastered right-side-of-the-road driving.” She says, “At the end of the day, I don’t need to work, and I think it’s good that I have the drive and willpower to get up and do something in the morning, even though I don’t need to. Nobody talks about the good in me — they just say that I am spoiled.”
