Jessica Simpson has given her first comment on motherhood, a week after giving birth to baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson.
“I am so in love with baby Maxwell,” she tweeted last night. “I want to cry every time I look at her. Motherhood is by far the best thing I’ve ever experienced.”
A source tells the new issue of People that the baby is in “different outfits every second.” The source adds that the baby is very attuned to her father, Simpson’s fiance Eric Johnson.
“Max is a total Daddy’s girl,” the source reveals.
However, a source tells Us Weekly that while Johnson is a good father, he is showing his anxiety.
“He is sweetly nervous about Maxwell being so small,” the source said of the former football player. “He doesn’t want to hurt her. If she cries while her diaper is being changed, he just wants to hurry up and finish so she will stop crying.”
Sources tell the magazine that Johnson is also in the midst of getting Simpson a push present.
“It will either be a necklace or a ring,” the source says. “And it won’t be cheap.”
