Topshop founder Sir Philip Green snapped up a Roy Nachum painting on the recommendation of a female friend. Green browsed Nachum’s latest exhibition, “Open Your Eyes,” with son Brandon and an attractive brunette Thursday night in the Meatpacking District. At one point, Green was seen grabbing Nachum’s arm and saying, “My girl wants this one in the corner, so I have to buy it for her now.” Nachum’s works, which include Braille script of poems over the paintings, are priced from $40,000. Justin Timberlake, Russell Simmons, and nightlife dons Eugene Remm, Michael Satsky, Richie Akiva and Danny Abeckaser all attended the exhibit opening. At the after-party at The Darby, reggae star Sean Paul performed for the crowd during dinner, and a Kim-free Kanye West took over the mike for three hours. He previewed several songs from his upcoming album and played a tribute to fallen singers Notorious B.I.G., Amy Winehouse, MCA (aka The Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch), Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.
