Rufus Wainwright filmed his new video “Bitter Tears” at a tango house in Buenos Aires, but he screened it in New York at Noho Argentinian restaurant Malbec and Tango House the other night. Wainwright welcomed Willem Dafoe and wife Giada Colagrande, actor Ronald Guttman, Erika Spring of Brooklyn pop band Au Revoir Simone, jewelry designer Ann Dexter-Jones and her son, musician Mark Ronson, with whom Wainwright collaborated on his album “Out of the Game.” Guests sipped on Malbec and enjoyed the tango-themed video before Wainwright hosted a small group for dinner.
