Mickey Drexler, TV star? The merchant prince who runs J.Crew has a small role Sunday on “Breaking Bad.” Drexler, who turned the Gap into a big brand, met earlier this summer with Sony Television executives Steve Mosko and Zack Van Amburg, and told them he was obsessed with the AMC hit. The producers, impressed with Drexler’s zeal, insisted he appear on the drama about a cancer-ridden chemistry teacher who becomes a crystal meth kingpin. Drexler flew to New Mexico for the one-day shoot. Sharp-eyed viewers will recognize him as a customer in Walter White’s carwash, although he is wearing a very out-of-character sweatshirt and ill-fitting jeans — definitely not from J.Crew.
