Beyonce & Alicia have very different definitions of ‘Love’

We here at PopWrap are pretty obsessed with Alicia Keys’ new album, “The Element of Freedom” — specifically her blazing hot “Put It In A Love Song,” featuring Beyonce. Now I know what you’re thinking: Can Alicia’s dulcet tones honestly mesh seamlessly with Beyonce’s high-energy sass?

Well, take it from someone who’s spun Alicia’s disc too many times to count, these two tastes blend together like the world’s yummiest pineapple strawberry margarita. When Alicia and Beyonce hit the “gotta work it, baby, work it out” portion of the song, you’ll be poppin’ whatever your most omnipresent physical asset is like nobody’s business.

Today the duetting divas were snapped filming the music video for “Put It In A Love Song” in Rio de Janeiro, clad in ensembles that perfectly capture their yin and yang personas. Alicia was ethereal in a simple white strapless dress while Beyonce was all in your face, thanks to a crazy hairstyle, bold colors and funky eye makeup.

But like mixing M&Ms in with your popcorn, often times one element needs to have an overpowering presence in order to bring out the inherent awesomeness in the other.
