As the world chomps up the last bits of 2010, we wanted to take a look back at the ten monster pop culture munchies that have filled our bellies with delight and amazement this year. So Ryan and I devised a little game — we’d each secretly pick our five favorite stories of the year, plop in front of a green screen and count em down, New Year’s Eve-style.

Now, despite the frequency with which we head out to the theater, we have not seen every movie that came out in 2010 — far from it, in fact. Which is why we can’t really call this a Best Of list since that would be unfair to films like “Rabbit Hole” or “Never Let Me Go” which we have yet to get around to and could very well warrant some action on a true Best Of List. So, what follows are, quite simply, the 10 films we enjoyed the most this year.
This year was all about breaking down barriers between music genres. Punk has become pop (Paramore), rock has become country (Kid Rock) and hip-hop has slowly mashed into the indie world (B.o.B.), which resulted in an a free-for-all when it came to this year’s Best Of Music list.
Attraction is subjective, but appreciation is global and you can’t deny that the 30 stars culled together in the following ripped round-up are some of the hottest Hollywood has to offer.
When it came time to select my Ten Favorite TV Shows of 2010 I ended up with a list of 25, which clearly wouldn’t do. Had I comprised this list on another day, perhaps some of the outliers would have been included and vice versa. But after some very tough hacking and slashing, I’ve landed on the ten shows that made my DVR cry uncle in 2010.
