Ray Kelly, rumored successor rub elbows

Diners at Midtown restaurant Fresco by Scotto were buzzing Wednesday night when NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly brushed shoulders with the man rumored to be taking his job, Bill Bratton.

Spies said Kelly, who The Post revealed has been offered a top job at J.P. Morgan, arrived first for dinner with former NYSE chairman Richard Grasso and their wives. The group was then joined at the bar by Kelly’s broadcaster son, Fox 5’s Greg. Then, once they were seated, a spy said, “Bratton and his wife, Rikki Klieman, walk in.”

Diners held their breath, but “the Brattons said hello to the Kellys, and everyone was very friendly.”

Kelly and Grasso’s party wound up staying for 3 ¹/₂ hours.
