Married Jason Aldean on being caught kissing another woman: ‘I screwed up’

Country singer Jason Aldean has issued an apology after photos of him kissing a woman who was not his wife, Jessica Ussery, surfaced online.

Aldean released a statement on his official Facebook page.

He writes, “I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites. The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar.

“I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.”

The “My Kinda Party” singer was caught kissing “American Idol” contestant Brittany Kerr at a bar on the Sunset Strip in LA last week. Aldean has been married to Ussery, his high school sweetheart, since 2001 and is dad to the couple’s two daughters.

Kerr has since shut down her Twitter page after angry Aldean fans blasted her online. Kerr’s Facebook fan page remains active to date and has been flooded with online attacks, including:

“Wow! taking up home wrecking now…that won’t get you far in your career.”

“You’re garbage”

“Real good way to start out your ,career ,cheatin with a married man , go home and quit singin”

Sources connected to Kerr tell TMZ that she had no idea Aldean was married and if she had known, she would have never proceeded.
