Andy Warhol thought that “Cable TV is the ultimate America,” and Bravo’s Andy Cohen believes the artist would have been a fan of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” “Warhol was fascinated with everyday people being celebrities and in everyday conversation being interesting,” Cohen said during a panel event Tuesday with Vincent Fremont and Deborah Kass at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the exhibition “Regarding Warhol: Sixty Artists, Fifty Years.” Cohen continued, “Melissa from the ‘Housewives of New Jersey’ was on the cover of Us Weekly last week . . . I think he [Warhol] would have been interested in that. It’s my fantasy that he would have dug the ‘Housewives’ series.”
