Joe Jonas was an incognito guest at the Tribeca Film Festival. The bubble-gum pop star was spotted at the perimeter of a celebration for a new short film on Nelson Mandela screening in Times Square as part of the “Midnight Moment” series hosted by Montblanc. At a reception at R Lounge in Times Square, Tribeca co-founders Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, and Mandela’s grandson Kweku Mandela, toasted “The Power of Words,” which pays tribute to the iconic South African leader. But incongruously at the back of the room, a spy said, “an unexpected teenybopper was spotted, Joe Jonas.” According to the spy, “He was casually watching in the back with friends. No one knew he was coming.”
