‘Anchorman’ Ferrell tries to jump ‘Lines’ over Thicke

Will Ferrell, a k a Ron Burgundy, tried to muscle his way in front of “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke on credits for their cover of “Ride Like the Wind” on the “Anchorman 2” soundtrack.

Ferrell asked if “Robin Thicke and Ron Burgundy” could be changed to “Ron Burgundy and Robin Thicke.” But he was denied, we’re told, because production of the soundtrack had already closed.

It was hoped the two would perform the Christopher Cross 1980 hit together on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” But Thicke wouldn’t be able to get from a gig in Florida to Kimmel’s show in LA, explained a rep for Ferrell and distributor Paramount.

Sources say disappointed Ferrell then reached out to Cross, who agreed to do “Wind” with him on Kimmel’s show on Dec. 19.
