Is there another celebrity feud brewing? Kid Rock slammed both Justin Bieber and Vanilla Ice in one go, comparing the erratic 19-year-old heartthrob to the nineties one-hit wonder.
“Tell me if this is wrong. Justin Bieber…is 100 percent like watching Vanilla Ice all over again,” Rock said on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM show yesterday.
Stern pointed out that the “Ice Ice Baby” rapper has only one hit, at which point Rock quipped, “It’s exactly the same. Well, as soon as Bieber has a hit, he’ll be like Vanilla Ice.”
Rock even predicted a slow decline for the “Baby” crooner. “The kid’s young. He’s got some money. He’s got the world in his hands,” he said.”It’s just kind of sad to see him go down this trajectory.
“It’s gonna be a very long ride down. We all know the story,” Rock continued. “I kind of feel for the kid, to be honest with you.”
The “Cowboy” singer has expressed disdain for Bieber before. He said in the June issue of GQ, “It’s just a matter of time before someone puts a huge line of cocaine in front of Bieber, and he’s going to be like, ‘Yes! This is [bleeping] awesome!”
Channing Tatum has even voiced concern for the pop star. “I worry about Bieber, man. That kid’s wildly talented,” the new dad recently told Vanity Fair. “I hope he doesn’t fall down into the usual ways of young kids because it’s so hard for someone to be responsible when they’re not asked to be.”
Just this week, Bieber was accused of hitting a photographer with his Ferrari in Los Angeles. The singer’s name was cleared after a police investigation.
