Martha Stewart says homemade presents make best gifts

If you’re planning on giving domestic diva Martha Stewart a Christmas gift, you’d better make it yourself.

Stewart recalled her most memorable holiday presents during a Facebook Q&A, and said she most treasures gifts that her daughter Alexis made for her.

“When Alexis was weaving, she gave me a whole set of woven place mats that she had done on her loom,” Stewart enthused in the interview. “I cherish those really great artisanal craft gifts that people come up with.”

She also recalled another favorite that was a bit more racy: a trip on a zero gravity plane that simulates being in space.

“It was phenomenal, doing somersaults and backflips and things you could never do on Earth. It was a great experience.” Then again, according to Zero G, the company that hosts the flights, a trip will set you back $4,950. So maybe just fire up the old loom for Martha.
