Dennis Hopper’s son accused of rape in new lawsuit

The adult son of late movie icon Dennis Hopper is accused in a California lawsuit of raping a girl after plying her with booze and drugs, according to published reports today.

The mom of an anonymous 16-year-old claims Henry Hopper, 21, met the girl through a common friend in February of last year before they kept up via Facebook, TMZ reported.

Hopper, who was the lead in Gus Van Zant’s 2011 movie “Restless,” then brought the girl to his Venice pad where he allegedly gave her alcohol and drugs.

It was only after she was incapacitated that Hooper “engaged in sexually offensive conduct with her,” according to the lawsuit. The acts allegedly included intercourse, forced oral copulation and sodomy.

“[Hooper] preyed upon a young impressionable child, suggesting that he cared for her, luring her into his home with promises of alcohol and illegal drugs, and then repeatedly taking advantage of her youth [and] vulnerability,” the lawsuit claims.

A rep for the LA County District Attorney said today there’s no record of any Henry Hopper referred to the office, by police, for possible prosecution. Hopper could not be reached for comment.

The elder Hopper, best known for “Easy Rider” and “Blue Velvet,” passed away two years ago from prostate cancer. He was 74.
