State Senator Liz Krueger is being tapped for a job in Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio’s administration.
Sources tell us Krueger is a shoe-in for first deputy mayor or deputy mayor for health.
One source said, “The gossip is Liz is heading into the de Blasio administration, and a number of people are already jockeying for her seat.”
Krueger endorsed de Blasio in August, saying, “Bill has both the record and the vision required to lead New York City and reverse the growing inequality of the Bloomberg years.”
In response de Blasio said, “I am honored to have earned the support of one of our state’s true progressive leaders,” citing her record on affordable housing and health care.
