Lindsay Lohan could be in really hot water.
The troubled “Mean Girls” star reportedly does not plan to attend her pretrial hearing in Los Angeles tomorrow, claiming she’s too ill to fly from New York, TMZ reports.
Lohan’s new lawyer, Mark Heller, who is based in New York, allegedly submitted a note from a Park Avenue doctor who says the actress has an upper respiratory infection, according to the gossip site. The attorney also allegedly submitted a New York Post article from Jan. 11 about the flu epidemic in the Big Apple.
However, photos have surfaced of the once-promising starlet going on a shopping spree in SoHo, the same day she was allegedly examined by a doctor.
Lohan’s case revolves around her probation violation from a 2011 necklace theft conviction by allegedly lying to cops following her car crash in June.
She faces three charges – giving false information to a police officer, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty and reckless driving, which carries a jail sentence of 240 days.
Interestingly, Heller has not been approved to appear in a California court on Lohan’s behalf. If Lohan’s excuse to skip court is false, the judge could issue a warrant for her arrest.
