The Kardashian family has taken another insult, as former “Real Housewives of New York City” star Jill Zarin blasted them for not “setting a good example” to their younger fans.
While Zarin admitted that she “likes” the clan and that they’re “nice,” she’s not completely on board with some of their choices.
During an interview with OK! Magazine Zarin asked, “Why can’t they teach young people the right thing to do? Why can’t they set good examples?”
The outspoken reality star added that the Kardashians “have an incredible gift of power” to set a positive example to their audience.
Zarin also took a swipe at middle sister Kim, who’s pregnant with her boyfriend Kanye West while still technically married to 72-day wonder husband Kris Humphries.
“I think you are supposed to be married before you get pregnant,” Zarin said.
She also said, “It makes it harder for parents, when their kids look up to and idolize these celebrities…It’s so much easier if you said, ‘Look at the Kardashians, she got married first, she did it this way.’”
The family has not responded to Zarin’s comments, but last week Khloe and Kim took to Twitter to deny abuse allegations against their mother Kris Jenner.
The claims, published in In Touch magazine, were allegedly written in the secret diaries of Jenner’s deceased ex-husband, Robert Kardashian. His wife, Ellen, told the magazine that Kardashian “so carefully wrote [the entries] during 1989 and 1990 at a most trying and touching time of his life.”
“How can a piece of trash even mention my fathers name!” Khloe tweeted. “You married him on his death bed while he was not even aware of his surroundings. You should be hiding in shame for all of the lies you sell to tabloids!! You have no right to even mention our names especially my mothers! We don’t know you!!! How dare you spread such lies! You are a disgrace … 10yrs after my fathers passing&now that she has filed for bankruptcy … NOW she sells FALSE stories. Hope that money buys you water in hell.”
And Kim weighed in, “So my dad’s ex is selling ridiculous stories again to tabloids! Do not believe it! Sad when people need $ & get desperate. 10 yrs since dad passed &this woman he married 4 2 wks before he died needs 2 get a job instead of trying 2 destroy families w fake stories PS that story that my mom beat me & threatened to kill me hahahhahaha! I’d beat her! JK truly laughable! #NOTTRUE”
