Beau Willimon — creator of Netflix’s political series “House of Cards” who began his career as a political campaign worker — was excited to reunite with members of Chuck Schumer’s 1998 Senate run at the show’s DC debut. “We all worked 100-hour weeks,” recalled the now-Hollywood writer. “We all still call our old boss Erick Mullen ‘Captain.’ We called him Captain then, and he was probably 25 years old.” They were in New York for a premiere of the series, directed by David Fincher, last night at Alice Tully Hall, where guests included Rooney Mara
and stars Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright and Kate Mara.
