The debut episode of Jenny McCarthy’s new show went without her first guest, Josh Groban.
The singer was scheduled for the taping but left before setting foot in front of the camera because his team felt that the show’s go-go dancers were too racy.
“[His team] took a look at [the go-go dancers] and thought they were a little too sexy for their taste,” McCarthy told Access Hollywood.
Besides go-go dancers, the Playboy model’s late night VH1 show features a bartender and a DJ. “I feel like — even though Jay Leno is sexy and all — I wanted to bring some sexy girls like you’d see in a nightclub,” she joked. “My show is very much like a nightclub”
McCarthy continued to tape her show without Groban. Her sister and makeup artist JoJo stepped in.
“I’ve been in this business so long that I can handle changes, so I threw that script away,” she explained of Groban’s sudden exit. “We threw JoJo in and said, ‘Let’s go, girl!’”
A rep for McCarthy told us: “Jenny is having a great time doing her show — she has no hard feelings towards Josh, and says he is welcome to come on the show any time.”
