Former senior Obama aide David Axelrod enjoys a challenge, but he doesn’t seem to be jumping at the chance to work with disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner. On Sunday night, Axelrod spoke at the 92nd Street Y, where he was asked by PBS’s Jeff Greenfield, “You worked with John Edwards and Eliot Spitzer. Are you planning to work with Anthony Weiner?” The question drew titters from the audience, which included journalist Mimi Kazon, and a wry smile from Axelrod. Meanwhile, as speculation grows about his possible return to politics, Weiner seemed relaxed on Sunday, when he was spotted brunching al fresco with wife Huma Abedin and baby son Jordan at Almond on East 22nd Street.
