Charlie Sheen’s kids ‘removed from mother Brooke Mueller’s home’

Officials removed Charlie Sheen’s twin boys from their mother Brooke Mueller’s home amid allegations that the kids were not safe, according to reports.

LA County Department of Children and Family Services removed the 4-year-olds Thursday after determining the house was an “unsafe environment” for children, TMZ reports.

According to E! News, social workers have been investigating the residence for more than a year, claiming Mueller is often absent.

“She hasn’t lived in her house for a few weeks,” said a source. “They don’t know where she’s at. It’s been so bad.”

The children were placed in temporary custody with Sheen’s ex-wife, Denise Richards.

The source said, “The boys have spent so much time with Denise that it was the logical choice that she would get temporary custody. Charlie is completely supportive of it and wants what’s best for the boys. Charlie will probably have a better relationship with the boys now. Everyone is glad they’ll have some stability.”

Richards, who is also the mother of Sheen’s two young daughters, took care of Bob and Max when Mueller entered rehab in December 2012.

A court hearing in hopes of finding a permanent home for the children has reportedly been set for next week.
