The Kennedy family feted Taylor Swift at their prestigious RFK “Ripple of Hope” gala, but there was strictly no mention of her relationship with Conor Kennedy after the pair split.

The Grammy-winning singer, 22, was warmly honored with a humanitarian award by Conor’s dad, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and family. She was introduced by Rory and Kerry Kennedy, who described her as “the kind of woman we want our daughters to be — authentic and mighty, willing to take a risk and strong enough to walk away,” perhaps referring to her summer fling with Conor, 18, who was not at the event.

After receiving the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights honor, Swift, now dating One Direction’s Harry Styles, said, “My great friend Ethel Kennedy is the person who . . . most inspires me to embrace the unpredictable side of life . . . She inspires me to find delight in every new experience.”

Swift described sailing in Hyannis Port with the Kennedys this summer. They went out on Max Kennedy’s boat, and once in the middle of the ocean, the Kennedy kids jumped in the water, grabbing a rope to be dragged by the yacht. Though she had a swimsuit, Swift claimed she wasn’t following because two of her pals forgot theirs. But Ethel told her, “‘Dear, to be that thoughtful you run the risk of being boring. Get in the water.’ So I jumped in, and I had an amazing time,” Swift said.

She added, “Ever since . . . I have decided that to really live, you have to jump in, you have to take chances. You have to embrace the unpredictability of life instead of fearing it. Thank you, Ethel, for teaching me that.” Ethel, 84, was not at the Marriott Marquis gala Monday. Reps say she is suffering from bronchitis, but is “feeling better.”

Also there were emcee Alec Baldwin, Melanie Griffith, Dianna Agron, and RFK Jr.’s girlfriend, Cheryl Hines. The night ended with Baldwin — referring to Swift’s writing songs to deal with detractors — saying, “I learned something. The New York Post keeps writing nasty things about me. I am going to write a song about it.” Sadly for Baldwin, his song’s already been written —“You’re So Vain.”
