Billionaire Ron Perelman is fighting to quash subpoenas for information about his divorce from his late wife, Post gossip columnist Claudia Cohen, according to a petition filed in Manhattan Supreme Court. The subpoenas are part of a New Jersey lawsuit between the Revlon head’s daughter Samantha Perelman and her uncle James Cohen, Claudia’s brother, over Samantha’s grandfather’s $400 million estate, The Post’s Julia Marsh reports. The Perelmans claim that James improperly influenced his dad, Robert Cohen to disinherit Claudia, bilking Samantha out of tens of millions she would have inherited after her mom died. James wants information from Ronald and Claudia’s divorce proceedings in the mid-1990s. But Ronald claims there’s no connection between his divorce and Robert’s estate. A Cohen family rep said, “This is another outrageous attempt to suppress the truth and destroy Claudia Cohen’s family.” A Perelman rep said, “This is a desperate move [by James Cohen] to distract attention from the serious claims pending in a New Jersey court.”
