Josh Duhamel has announced the sex of his firstborn with his singer wife, Fergie.
The 40-year-old “Safe Haven” actor stopped by “LIVE with Kelly and Michael,” and in a segment called “Du or Don’t, Part II: Baby Edition,” host Kelly Ripa asks Duhamel to choose between a blue and pink baby onesie.
Duhamel teased the audience at first and then grabbed the blue onesie to the excitement of the crowd.
The gender reveal comes after news of the 38-year-old “Black Eyed Peas” singer officially changing her name from Stacy Ann Ferguson to Fergie Duhamel.
The couple, married since Jan. 2009, will be welcoming their son in late August/early September.
Fergie had a surprising reaction when she learned she was pregnant, Duhamel told Page Six in February.
“She was the one when we first found out that was like, ‘This [bleep] just got real,’ ” Duhamel said. “Those were the first words out of her mouth.”
Duhamel said he’s also looking forward to fatherhood: “I’m not 24, I’ve got some life experience that I think I can impart. My mother was the disciplinarian and my father was more of a free spirit. Hopefully I’m somewhere in between.”
