Bobby Brown hasn’t exactly given the seal of approval after learning that his 20-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, is officially engaged to Nick Gordon.
When a TMZ photographer asked the singer, “How excited are you for your daughter…she’s about to get married.”
Brown replied flatly, “I’m not.”
He added that Gordon – who was taken in by Whitney Houston when he was 12 and has referred to him as her “son” before she died in February 2012 – never asked for his blessing prior to the engagement.
However, he conceded, “It’s not a question if I like him or not….I just want her to be happy.”
Last week, Bobbi Kristina officially announced her engagement to Gordon, taking the time to really emphasize they are not related.
“YES, we me nick are engaged,” she announced on her Facebook. “I’m tired of hearing people say ‘eww your engaged to your brother or if Whitney was still alive would we be together or would she approve of this.’”
