‘Glee’ ‘tried to save’ Cory Monteith from his addictions

Castmates and several producers of “Glee” were allegedly aware of Cory Monteith’s addictions and urged him to go back to rehab, sources revealed.

Sources told TMZ that members of the cast and crew were concerned when they realized the 31-year-old star was relapsing, and they knew they had to address the issue with him.

An insider said they had an “open conversation” with the actor about his addiction.

The source explained that Monteith was willing to listen and the conversation was the reason he voluntarily checked into a substance abuse facility on March 30th.

“It wasn’t met with resistance,” the source said. “He was always so grateful and aware of how fortunate he was.”

However, despite his efforts, Monteith was found dead on Saturday from a lethal mixture of heroin and alcohol, Canadian authorities said.
