Matthew Morrison paid tribute to his tragic co-star and “brother” Cory Monteith as he performed a gig in New York City last night.
The singer told the crowd, who had gathered to see his 54 Below show, it was “awkward” to be performing so soon after 31-year-old Cory’s death.
Describing Cory, who was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on Saturday, as his “brother,” an emotional Matthew added to fans: “You guys came to see a show, I came to perform a show, so that’s what we’ll do.
“And we’ll do it in Cory’s honor.”
