Kanye West wants to name new album ‘I Am God’: report

Kanye West is raising eyebrows again with a rumor that he’s naming his sixth studio album “I Am God.”

BBC News reports that the album title is “half tongue-in-cheek” and appears to be the first confirmation that West is planning to release a new album for 2013.

While the Grammy-winning performer’s notorious ego isn’t entirely unwarranted, West has ruffled some feathers with religious imagery before. In February, he and pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian imitated the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. He also posed as Jesus on a Jan. 2006 cover of Rolling Stone wearing a crown of thorns.

The new album’s title has yet to be confirmed but aside from the possible name and a small list of contributors including The-Dream and Malik Yusef, details on the rapper’s forthcoming album are scarce.

The BBC article goes on to say that West and his baby mama are going to name their baby North…as in North West.

Like the album name, the baby name has not been confirmed. Kardashian recently addressed rumors about monikers starting with a K, like many in the Kardashian Kamp.

“I think it would be really cute cause Kanye and I are both K’s… but half the names on our list aren’t K’s… we still have time, whatever feels right… Kanye being the father wants something that’s unique.”
