It was a teary yet celebratory premiere for James Gandolfini’s penultimate film “Enough Said,” at the Paris Theatre Monday. Director Nicole Holofcener cried introducing the film to an audience that included his family and friends, saying, “I’m very sad that he’s not standing up here with us. He never saw the movie so maybe he is watching.”

She told us, “I’ve seen it enough times since Jim died that I guess I’m slightly more immune, but sometimes I have to really tune it out and not really look carefully at him or I’ll get very upset.”

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who plays his romantic interest, tells us he was “irresistible.”

“He has a profound kindness that you can see right away and I personally find that fall-in-lovable,” she said.

Catherine Keener chose not to speak about her late co-star. Later, guests including “Sopranos” stars Steve Schirripa, Tony Sirico and Aida Turturro, and creator David Chase, headed to Rouge Tomate. Sunday’s Emmys will include a tribute to Gandolfini, who passed away from a heart attack in June.
