Drake was back at Greenhouse — the club that houses W.i.P., where he was caught in a bottle-throwing melee with Chris Brown a year ago — to celebrate the release of his album “Nothing Was the Same” on Tuesday.
The party came days after Page Six reported the rapper and Brown have buried the hatchet. But we’re told the invites for the “pop-up party” were not sent till 8 p.m. the night of the event, because, said a source, “If they’d planned it in advance and sent out invites, the cops would have shut it down due to the [past] W.i.P. chaos.”
But club reps insisted, “It was unplanned, and no invites were sent.” We’re told those joining the 30-person celebration included French Montana, Busta Rhymes, DJ Clue and Birdman.
A source said the group arrived at about 2 a.m. Last week at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Drake and Brown “hugged it out” and even discussed making music together.
Drake had another album release party this week, from which unlikely fan Kris Jenner posted a picture and wrote, “Congratulations Drake!! What A Great Night!!”
