Daniel and Derek Koch — the twin-brother party promoters behind the raucous Day & Night brunch bashes — are opening a restaurant in the Sanctuary Hotel to be called Tender.
The hotspot in Brandon and Hank Freid’s Midtown hotel is described as “American with a European twist,” and will launch in February during Fashion Week, we hear.
The move comes after the brothers’ contentious split with their former Day & Night partner Michael Wainstein in September, when the brunch moved to the Highline Ballroom.
Wainstein has continued the Day & Night parties through hospitality banner Dual Groupe, and the next installment is scheduled for Dec. 7 with DJ Paolo spinning.
An announcement about Tender will be made during Art Basel at a party to be held on the Freids’ yacht, the Impulsive. The luxe lunch was sponsored by shoe brand Carlo Pazolini.
