Obama bringing ‘Scandal’ producer to the Kennedy Center

President Obama is bringing “Scandal” to the Kennedy Center — tapping Golden Globe-winning producer Shonda Rhimes, who produced “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” to the arts center’s board of trustees.

The ABC series “Scandal” stars Kerry Washington as a fixer in a world of intrigue that features her affair with the president and even an assassination attempt on him.

Obama also named Alexandra Stanton as a general trustee to the Kennedy Center. She was chief of staff for the Empire State Development Corp., serves on the board of the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill and was also a big bundler for Obama last year, hauling in more than $500,000.
