Eva Longoria is dating a former cast member from her own reality show, Miami-based entrepreneur Ernesto Arguello.
The two met last year on “Ready For Love,” a matchmaking show she executive produced for NBC that was pulled off the air in April after three airings.
Arguello, 34, chose Miss USA Shandi Finnessey as his date on the show but their relationship ended in 2012.
Longoria and Arguello were rumored to be dating for some time, but the “Desperate Housewives” star only recently confirmed their romance.
“I think that’s why our relationship is so special – we truly started as friends,” Longoria, 38, told People.
“Eva and Ernesto are a perfect match,” a friend told the magazine. “They both speak Spanish, have the same religion, and the same the cultural background. Their friendship and their similar philanthropic interests laid the foundation for their new romance. They’re very much in love.”
Longoria tweeted to her new beau on yesterday, “Happy to share NOW that it’s true! Couldn’t be happier.”
He also tweeted back, “Me too baby, I LOVE YOU.”
Longoria filed for divorce from NBA star Tony Parker in 2010 after three years of marriage.
