Jennifer Love Hewitt has deactivated her Twitter account due to the negative messages and online “threats” she’s been receiving from others.
Hewitt, who is engaged and expecting a baby with her “Client List” co-star Brian Hallisay, tweeted about her exit on Wednesday.
“Unfortunately with all the negativity people choose to send on twitter … I’m sad to say twitter is no longer for me. I have enjoyed all the kindness and love that came my way, as well as support. But this break is needed,” she wrote.
The 34-year-old mom-to-be then explained that she had been getting harassed by some social media users.
“Life should be filled with positivity and holding each other up, not making threats and sending bad vibes,” she said. “To those of you who made it a joy thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Hewiit and Hallisay first met on the 2010-2011 NBC series “Love Bites” and reunited when they were cast in the Lifetime drama.
