It’s just Miley being Miley.

There may only be a couple weeks left in 2013, but Miley Cyrus isn’t about to let an opportunity to shock her critics and delight her fans pass her by.

Scheduled to perform at Boston radio station Z100’s Jingle Ball on Saturday night, the snowy weather instead left the 20-year-old and her friends stranded in New York state. So in need of a distraction, the “Wrecking Ball” singer turned to, where else, Twitter. After all, what better forum to post a picture of herself lifting up her shirt to reveal two hearts that said “Merry Christmas” covering her otherwise bare breasts.

But spreading holiday cheer wasn’t the only message Cyrus wanted to send with her tweet. She also wanted to lend her support to the “Free the Nipple” movement, an internet-based campaign seeking to end the media’s “glorification of violence and repression of nudity,” reports E! News.

Taking the chance to highlight her stance, the wrecking ball poked fun at the resulting uproar from the “topless” pic on Sunday afternoon.

It’s hard to deny that she’s right, especially when this year has seen her star in this raunchy performance and this provocative photo shoot.
